Tourism in Australia
There wasn’t much Australia could offer the rest of the world when tourism began except for the major cities and historic sites, most of which were so far they were just out of reach. Development of areas such as the Great Barrier Reef and other nature preserves have sparked a tourism revival along with many other charms such as Uluru or the great rock which holds special meaning to the country’s aborigines. They also provide valuable insight into how their ancestors lived and survived in such a harsh and unique landscape.
